Gabbie de Lara (they/them/siya) digs deep with curiosity and holds clients accountable to their goals and purpose with kindness and humor, and brings calm into the uncertainty that arises when people confront transition and challenge. They work with the creativity of a musician, the discipline of an athlete, the compassion of a mentor, and the evidence-based training of a coach.
Gabbie’s philosophy of promise-keeping and cultivating relationships is rooted in years of experience in contracts, negotiation, operations, people, and workshop facilitation. They are a certified Co-Active coach and RYT-200 Yoga Vida-trained Vinyasa yoga teacher with a deep reverence for restorative and yin practices. In addition, Gabbie is a student of trauma-informed movement, a member of a coaching and consulting collective called STEEL Advising, and they serve as Global Dignity’s first New York City Chair.
Their values include community, curiosity, care, authenticity, joy, ease, beauty, fairness, action/movement, nature, adventure, play, creativity, freedom, respect, generosity, and gratitude. Gabbie, a first generation Filipinx-American, was born and raised in Northern VA and has lived in DC, Scotland, and Uruguay. They feel most at home on the dance floor and are creating opportunities to serve the local NYC music and dance community through space holding, organizing, and DJing. They practice on what is currently occupied Lenape land (NYC), where they live in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn.
